What happens in chapter 10? I’m not going to tell you. You’re just going to have to wait to read it! Plus even if I did tell you it might be different by the time final edits are done. So no spoilers.

Chapter 10 has been giving me a bit of a headache. Particularly because it’s that point in the story where I’m building up to this event that pushes the story further into this world I’ve created. I debated whether to have this particular scene happen earlier or a little later. So when I outlined the story I came up with ta-da chapter 10. Now, I haven’t been strictly going by the outline which was pretty flexible instead, I’ve been letting the story and characters guide the story. However, since reaching this chapter I have struggled to get it together.

Here are some reasons why:

1. OMG I am writing CHAPTER 10 of something that’s been in the back of my mind for a decade…A DECADE!! I have written thousands of words of a story…my story!
2. Jitters
3. Having multiple moments of ‘if you were in my head’ and ‘if the scene I see could just type itself, that would be great’

That pretty much sums it up.

So here’s to Chapter 10 and to completing 1/3 of this manuscript.
