Graduation. Graduation sums up both your hard work or lack there of and your ‘future’. This ‘future’ that everyone is so curious to know about and convinced you have it all figured out. Well, fear not because it’s okay to not know what you what to be or where you want to go. It’s okay to also ‘think’ you know those things and then change your mind later. No one ever tells you that. You have choices. You have so many resources that can guide you. You don’t have to go to college right away. If you do be smart about it and think about your options in the most realistic way.
If you didn’t get into your school of choice or didn’t get enough financial aid or you simply missed a lot of the deadlines for the applications don’t think you don’t have options. You have so many options. Options galore. Venture out try out a couple of classes at a community college, join a gym, try out a cooking class because this is the time for you to get to know yourself. By exploring your interest you will learn more about who you are and the kind of stuff that you like to do and wouldn’t mind getting paid for it.
During this time and even months before you would have been asked about your plans after graduation. Embrace it and breathe because it will be alright. Be positive, be proactive and be yourself. You can do it.
