I finished!! Hooray!
I thought you guys should know that I finished my first draft last Sunday night. Ha! I have been basking on glorious ‘OMG I’m done–for now at least’ glory for a few days now and it feels so good! I am proud of what I’ve written and ready to take it to the next level. Now, I know the first draft is crap, but from the time that I started to jot down ideas and scenes and pieces of dialogue anywhere that I could until now–I’d say I’ve learned a few things. 😉 Needless to say that I am excited to learn even more things as I do my first read through and begin the editing process.
I guess it’s time to look through all those articles about editing that I bookmarked for this very moment.
I already know of a few things that need to change and I definitely need to get my ‘acts’ together hahaha. Oh it’s going to be fun. I had so much fun writing these characters I really want to make it better. Final word count was 124,307 words, so I will be needing to make some trims here and there.
Also NaNoWriMo 2017 is right around the corner and I will be participating of course!
