Welcome to the world of John Wick, this chapter begins right where John Wick Chapter 2 left off. John is stripped of his assassin protections, services, and has a 14 million dollar bounty on his head. Anyone who helps him will suffer the consequences. Thus that is how we are introduced to several characters Anjelica Huston, Halle Berry, and Mark Dacascos characters bring us more of the John Wick lore that we love to learn about. Our favorites Laurence Fishburne (Bowery King), Ian McShane (Winston), and Lance Riddick (Charon) are back too.
The first fifteen minutes are nerve wrecking as there is absolutely no way he’ll make it out alive of a city that is filled with assassins. The mysterious High Table as you’ll remember, the entity that controls most of this assassin world makes a physical appearance…sort of. What would John Wick be if we didn’t have a mysterious ‘powers that be’? The city is chaotic and the assassins all have 14 million reasons to get rid of John. But John has no intention of dying. A new take on the antihero who has lost everything and yet still manages to be resilient and not give up on himself. A story lesson for the wise. I’m watching John Wick.
As you’d expect this new chapter is bloody AF! Rest assure that no pets die in this one, thankfully. We’re shown more of why we are so drawn to Keanu. No nudity or love story, just him. Just Keanu. There is still so much about John Wick that we don’t know. We’re just here hoping he’ll take us for a ride. You don’t want to miss this one!
